The park board meets at the village hall on the last Monday of the month at 7:30.  The park board does not meet during the winter months.

March 16th, 2004 Election Results
Aviston Elem. school district voted 145-67 (68%-32%) for the creation of  an Aviston Community Park District that includes the Aviston School District #21 (excluding citizens from Madison County).

Starting in 2005, the district will be the tax base to fund a portion of the park's annual bills.  The approval of this proposition allows the entire district to pay instead of just the citizens within the Village of Aviston city limits.
