Aviston
is a small town with a big
heart. Located approximately 35 miles directly east of St.
Louis, it is on the eastern side of the St. Louis metropolitan
area (Metro-east).
Aviston's small town charm and
values are centered between the excitement of St. Louis and the
outdoors of Carlyle Lake.
Aviston is
a growing community that has a population of approximately 1,300
people. The 2000 census showed
Aviston
grew 33% from the 1990 census and the 2010 census will show even
more growth. The village offers an Illinois Bright A+
school system, spacious park, great
business TIF programs, and various luxuries that prove it will
continue to grow with the future. Residents of
Aviston
take great pride in their community and this is proven by the
numerous volunteer organizations.
Although
Aviston is
not directly on a major interstate highway, several major
highways are nearby: I-64 to the south, I-70 to the north, I-57
to the east, I-55 to the west, and New US Rt. 50 runs
through the heart of
Aviston.
Aviston's growth, kindness, and location make it a great place
for business and living.
