Aviston Eagles Win State Title-On Sat. May 9th in Salem, the girls track team at AGS won state.  This made their championship a back-to-back state title. Congratulations to the girls and the coaching staff on their accomplishment.  
 

Aviston Receives New Mayor-On May 4th Derek Sudholt became village president of Aviston.  We wish him the best during his 4-year term.

Dog Ordinance-The Village of Aviston put into effect an ordinance requiring any/all dogs in the Village corporate limits to have a city tag, similar to the rabies tag.  This ordinance states that every animal must be registered with the Village and each dog will be issued a metal tag.  The cost of each tag is $4.00.  The following information is needed to register with the Village: sex of the animal, name of the animal, and the breed, name and address of owner, satisfactory evidence of a current rabies inoculation, such as the receipt of the rabies tag from the County.
